I have a 1984 Chevy K20 4X4 with a 350. It starts up runs for 20 seconds then dies. Starts right back up runs for 20 seconds then dies and so on. . Ignition module is good, new pick up coil, HEI distributor is good. There isn't a single fusible link on the firewall. There are three red wires coming of the positive lead on the batt. The fat one going to the starter and 2 smaller ones that go to the back side of the fuse block, but one of those has a 40 amp fuse about 1 foot from the batt. post. I'm inclined to think its not a fuel problem because when it dies it just shuts right off without hesitation, as though you just turned the key off, no sputter, no cough, it just dies. Any thoughts?

If it is running I would start at the fuel/air supply. Any vacuum leaks, bad seal?
Can you verify it is getting enough fuel, check the filters? what kind of carb?
