Hello all !
I finally found a 1989 van (30 series)with a 350 in it . I am going to go take it out this Saturday. I am planning on putting it in my 1988 r10 that has a 305 in it now . I am going to get the computer also .
A couple of questions that I have are :
Are the motor mounts the same
Whatever is the computer
Will I be able to use the exhaust manifolds and y pipe
The van is complete so I can get anything I want . What should I take ? What should I be careful of or look for ?
Thank you for the information.

Anything that bolts to your existing 305 will bolt up to the 350 including the exhaust manifolds and motor mounts. Not sure of the computer (size) wise but you'll need one for the 350 to get everything optimal as far as running.

Thank you
Rereading my post I meant ask , where is the computer.
-
I think the computer it under the dash or in the kick panel I don't remember.
-
Well I will find it today !

Oh boy got motor and all the goodies today
The computer in the van was under the drivers seat .
I am thinking (someone told me) that all I needed to do was change the "Palm" ? In the computer?
The truck I am working on is a 1987 v-10 with a 79 cab on it
The van was a 1994 c30

Now for the fuel lines ....
Advice ?
-
PROM is in the ECM. why would you need to change it? If you are just transplanting just drop it in..
You need EFI rated lines. I suggest getting them E85 rated..

If your keeping the computer iwith the engine you don't need to change anything

Hello
Thank you all for the input . Working my way through this now . Old motor is out .
This is cool trick I thought of (this time around) 😀
Before pulling the old motor I took a section of lower radiator hose , put it on the water pump and sealed the open end .
I did not have coolant dripping anywhere !

Hello All
I have confused myself (once again)
I am replacing all the fuel lines . The truck has duel tanks . There is a 3/8s supply lines. There is a 5/16 return line . There is also a vapor .
Where those three lines go , back to ,( on the duel tank switch and union) the supply to the front lower right , the bigger one ? The return is the one above it ? And the vapor line is the small one to the out side ?
I just want verify this .

The switch valve should be labelled can you post a pic because it depends on how you are looking at it, but it should only have 2 inlet 3/8", 5/16" and vapor on one side of the switch.

Thank you Capkaos
I got that all sorted out .
I ended up pulling the heads grinding the valve seats . I cleaned up the motor and replaced most every gasket . I need to drill one bolt out of the exhaust mani . It is going much slower than I would like . Hoping to get it back In the truck in a few weeks . I had to use the truck valve cover , dip stick and thermostat housing .
