77 K10 with 350SB coupled to TH350. When I put the truck in reverse is moves just fine under the truck own power idling but if I give it throttle the RPMs just climb with little output from trans. also I just noticed that it's not shifting into third.. ready ..set...goo.

Third and reverse use the same clutch pack, which may very well be burned out in your trans.
I actually just finished rebuilding a TH350 where that was the case.

im sure skinny hit the nail on the head but whats your trans fluid look/smell like?
