Title: 700R4 "Level 4" Swap In My 85 Stepside. Determining New Driveline Length (HELP)

Doing a trans swap in my 85 stepside. Need help determining length for new drive line build. I'm running a narrowed Ford 9" Has anyone done this swap before? Any information would be great!

Install the yoke on the rear end. Install the yoke in the transmission until it bottoms out. Measure center to center on your your u-joints then subtract an inch. That will be the length you need.

So after the 700R4 is installed, take measurements, correct? Hopefully your not talking about the old TH350 that was in it.....

yes with the new setup installed.  Depending on who you get to built it they generally want a specific measurement so make sure you know what info they want.
