Well my grandpa gave me a th350 and a 205. So I'm gonna swap that in my truck. Couple questions tho. Can I use my current cross member and move it or do I need a different one? Also what do I do with the drive shafts....I know the rear ones diffrent. Is the 205 better then the 208?
Also I at some point may put in a 700r4 the 205 should work with an adapter plate correct? Or should I find another 208 with 27 spline input? Anyone know the difference in mpgs with that 4th gear in the 700r4? Other question is what about a 91 or 92 4l60 that shouldn't need a computer? would that be a better choice then the 700?

If I remember right the 208 crossmember is different, but don't quote me on that.
The 208 has a better gearing than the 205.
The 700 to 205 will require and adapter. MPG's on a 4x4 will be a little better if you have good gearing, but you are probably looking at 5mpg difference.
A 91-92 4L60 is a 700R4, they just changed the naming convention.
