I have a 74 K10 and I need to swap out my brake booster. Now calling around to the local shops everyone wants $200-240 to replace it with a reman. I've looked around and trying to find a 73-80 being used for parts is just as frustrating.
I went to our local yard today and didn't see any 73-80 trucks but I saw a couple of 81-87 trucks and was perhaps wondering if I could use my master cylinder from a 74 on a 81-87 brake booster?

I got a reman booster + cylinder from advance for less than $100 with some codes online. Took 2 to get it right, but fine now.

I'm in Canada.. Everything is double to triple anywhere else.
I can get a reman from Rock Auto for $89 but it will cost me $70 in shipping. Its an avenue I will go down if need be... but rather not.

im in canada also - rock auto is well worth it even after shipping and aut parts fall under free trade so no big duties

going from that im going to say no they wont interchange. maybe if you grab the brake pedal rod and master cylinder but then with used parts you dont know if its any good anyway. think it would be cheaper and easier to get a reman unit from rock auto
