I'm hoping someone can shed some light on an issue I've run into. I'm restoring my 1980 GMC Sierra Grande, two tone brown/cream exterior and tan interior. I ordered what I thought was all I needed from to replace some seriously sun-faded interior items and this is where I've run into the issue. has two similar interior colors, 'Saddle' and 'Tan'. Both look nearly identical in the catalog but the colors are actually very different. The Tan color is what actually matches the interior. The carpet kit looks perfect in the truck and matches the dash and seat perfect. The door panels and seatbelts that are 'Saddle' look terrible next to the tan. The Saddle color is more of a gray/brown color. has been no help figuring this out other than offering refunds.

First there is a reason why this site sells parts AND why you can't see who you posted parts from.
If you like the current panels other than color, I recommend dye/painting them to match. No aftermarket company will guarantee color match on parts.

My apologies, I didn't see anything in the registration agreement about referencing vendors. I was wondering if anyone else had come across this issue or had suggestions as searching the forums and google only seemed to turn up parts with the wrong color.

I have a 1987 Chevy R10, tan in color, that I too am restoring. I ran across the same problem: My tan interior was badly faded (looked yellow), and needed replacing. The original dash was cracked and had to be replaced too. The dash was dark brown, so I decided to go back with the dark brown dash, black polyvinyl flooring (instead of carpet), and had the seat reupholstered to dark brown. "Dark Brown" does not exist from most vendors. And as Captain has said, I plan on dying/painting the panels to match my dark brown/tan interior theme. I'll try to post pictures when I can.

I'd like to see the pics, especially with the black polyvinyl. I was torn between the two. I found the paint sold by SEM and will be painting soon.

I've seen a very nice two tone semi custom interior. Dark brown seats and dash with tan carpet, headliner, door, and kick panel, and pillar plastics with dark brown armrests and door panel inserts. It was on another board... it was a later 80s crew cab 4x4.

The carpet and dr panel look good. That midrange rust brown is a little off. Nope, ya cant mention that big 3 letter company. I have by accident many times.

I just made that mistake yesterday for the first time. If I have to give my money to someone for parts it's going to be Chris. Just saying that he provides a good website here for us to talk about these trucks. :)

Yes sir, it is a great site and forum. I have learned so much here.
