Title: Rear leaf springs
Post by: Will84K10 on October 18, 2015, 09:38:06 pm
I ordered a 4" rough country lift and noticed this difference in my rear springs. I assume one of these are incorrect but not sure if it's the one with the small gap or big gap. And will this be something I need to return for a replacement? Thanks.

It does look weird. You should ask Rough Country, they have a live chat and are online now http://www.roughcountry.com/

Bought them through NTWonline and they contacted RC and said they're sending me 2 new 52" rear springs and just to keep the old ones. Not sure what I'm supposed to do with them but apparently the one with the big gap was made/assembled incorrectly.

That should tell you something about rc. Yes they will take care of you but the amount of money it cost to ship something back is more that what the product cost or close to it

You're supposed to throw them in your trash can!

Give the defective springs for someone who makes knives/swords, like maybe there is some blacksmithing school near you or something?
I did that with my old springs.

Good suggestion Catrik.

Another possibility is making them into pry bars if you do construction projects around the place.

Or send them to me, I can use them. Hehehe  That end can be fixed by a good welding shop.
