There have been some really nice square body trucks in TV advertising lately.
Lifted 4x4s that are really nice looking. Two of Larry the Cable Guy's Prilosec OTC commercials contain three different square body trucks. These are recent commercials not 30 year old advertising. :)
Larry doing donuts: (my personal favorite)

If you look closely at the interior shots you will see the dash pad is cracked.
Larry playing with a slingshot:

NAPA commercial with guy digging a pool for his neighbors:

Brett Favre hocking Wrangler jeans:

Oddly there are multiple Wrangler commercials with Farve that are exactly identical to the others but if you look you'll notice the red truck is not always a Chevy but brand X.

I've noticed those too.
As I recall, Wrangler has also had several magazine adverts with a GM truck
-
I have noticed more and more square bodies showing up on TV.
Maybe one day your monster truck will show up on a commercial.
-
I have been noticing these pop up at random lately too, and to tell you the truth, there ain't a darn thing wrong with it! I love it!
-
I saw a nice Blazer parked on the street in front of the butcher shop in the last episode of Fargo.
-
i want to say larry was driving an old chevy in one of his movies also. even around where i live i had the only crew cab i could find. now i see one at least every other day lol. but mine still stands out from the rest with the tommy gate
-
And the knock from the I6 probably gives yours away too lol.
-
knock no exhaust and sometimes smoke lol
-
I ment the normal noise that Cummins make while running, that noise is not normally associated with a square.
-
yeah. you can see the gear heads turning when they hear the knock. others just think its a diesle but some can tell me what motor it is
-
Yea I figured.
-
Then you have this guy. Hes a local with what appears 44s and 4" lift and a 4cylinder Cummins nv4500
-
I had a buddy in high school, 2 years younger than me, he built a rat rod ford pickup with a super short bed, chop top, super low, big tires and put a Cummins 4 cylinder in it. I don't know much about Cummins but I think he called it a 4BT, that sound right? He turned the injection pump up a little and that thing had great power, got up and went great, made alot of noise and had a turbo on it. The exhuast dumped right out the right side of the truck from a big exhuast tip. I wonder if I still have pics of that thing....
-
4bt is right for the 4 cylinder or 3.9 the 6bt is the 6 cylinder and is the 5.9 or 360 (but thats gets confused with dodges v8 360)
-
I wonder if I still have pics of that thing....
id love to see it
-
Found em! This thing has drag lite rims, a home made K&N intake pipe, I think from a K&N kit for a 6.0 LS engine. check out the exhuast tip, it's a home made something or rather. It only has front and rear window, no sides, and a trailer hitch haha. And in 2 of the pics you can see my truck parked next to it, I wish my paint actually was as nice as it looks in the pics with the sun shining on it. Wish I could load video from my phone cuz I have a video of it too.
