Title: headlights not working

i have a 1986 chevy k20 and i put a suburban fram under it. and on the suburban the guy changed the deisal out and put a gas in it. well when i bought the suburban it had a awasome transmission, engine, and axles so i used the frame. but the headlights didnt work. so i switched out everything got it running and everything works but the headlights,horn,dash lights,interior lights. i dont even know where to start can anybody help me out??? thanks bobby

Are you getting power to the bulb?  what about the switch?

no im not gettin power to anything so i took my old wiring harness and spliced it into the existing one and i found out that the one that was on it did not have half the wires my old one had so i found a wire that went to the starter and i hooked it up and every thing works now but thanks alot for giving me a starting point.
