I've got an '81 c10 and i need to replace the floorpans and rockers both inner and outer. which one do i do first, any info is appreciated. thank you Edited by: silver stepside at: 2/14/05 7:19 pm

Well, depending on the extent of the cancer, i'd say start with the floorpans. Do the rockers when it's a nice warm day with plenty of sunshine. Floorpans are just a matter of "out with the old, in with the new". Rockers require a lot of patience to line everything up with the cab, doors, etc. Pick a good day that you feel good waking up to, make sure the weather is good for about 4 hours, and break out the grinder, torch, and welder. Good luck, I know I had fun doing just the driver side on my 77c10.

Shop around for your floor pan you can get them with the front half of the inner rocker already stamped in, then you can buy or fab the back half. As for which to do first I would recomand doing them both at the same time. Get the floor trimed to fit after the old is cut out. Use self tapping screws to hold it in place then fit the rocker with screws. This way you can make adjust ment to one or both for the best fit.
