Title: homemade floor pans
Post by: kingmu on March 06, 2005, 12:18:00 am
You know those cab floor repair panels they have in JC Whitney? I'd like to make my own and avoid the $70/pair. Anyone have any luck with that? If so, what kind of metal did you use?

I have been doing body work for a long time and have made my fair share of patches including floor patches. If you haven't done allot of sheet metal work I would recommend buying pre made but not from J.C. Whitney. Go to a few local body shops and ask them where they get there patch panels and get the phone number or maybe even order them through them. If you talk real nice to them they might even give you a few pointers on installing them. Don't go hacking into your floor without thinking first, there are supports that if they are not rusted you will want to no cut out.

I sell those parts through this website.  I believe you will find my prices are competitive with JCWhitney and others.
