I am currently trying to fix the headlights on my 84 k10. The owner before me wired in a 3 way switch but only the high beams work? The switch only works one way and all four lights turn on and I am assuming that is the high beams? Not sure if am just better off buying an aftermarket harness and switch or fixing this one
Any help is appreciated
Thanks

Can you post a few pics of the headlamp switch wiring as it presently exists, as well as a general shot behind the dash where the factory switch should be located so we can see what you have to work with and whether there is anything abandoned behind the dash that you can still use? Restoring the OEM wiring won't be too difficult unless the PO stripped e/g out of the dash.
Installing a complete new harness is an expensive endeavor. Are there any other electrical issues that collectively assure a new harness is warranted?

I believe the stock switch is still there, it makes a clicking noise when I move the windshiel wiper switch back and fourth. I will post a few pictures of what is currently there

Is there a connector and/or switch behind the dash that look anything like the images below?

I did not see one but I will look tomorrow and get back to you

My dad fixed them for me without me even knowing it, basically the three way switch down turns the lights on and the high and lows are controlled just as the are stock with the windshield wiper control and then we are assuming up on the switch would go to the plow love gets which it doesn't have because the front is so high the previous owner said he never needed them.
