I believe you would be hard pressed to find just the pointer.
Look for a good used gauge or cluster.
Pay attention to the color of the pointers as they varied through the years.
A popular web based auction site would be a good place to start.

I have a speedo needle from an '86.  You're welcome to it if you want it.

That would be great. Send me an email to taps@gvtc.com and we'll make arrangements.

Thanks

Anybody know a source for speedo and large gas gauge replacement needles?

I recently found gauge needle paint on the web and never even thought to save it. Bright orange-ish/red paint for the needles on vintage Chevy gauges. I never even knew it was available. Probably just marking paint in a jar and the unsuspecting public (like me) is gullible enough to buy it.

OK I looked and found a source...http://www.hipoparts.com/fluorescent-speedo-gauge-needle-restoration-paint/ (http://www.hipoparts.com/fluorescent-speedo-gauge-needle-restoration-paint/)  How can $2:50 be beat?
