You need the tbi intake also. A lot of guys want fuel injection for better mpg etc..you also have to make sure you have the right prom for a 350 or 305 in the computer which ever you have. Other than that you need a map sensor, tps sensor, and a coolant temp sensor. In tank sending unit and fuel pump. Also an 02 sensor for the computer to rich or lean the mix
Why do you want to get rid of the carb? I have an 87 and did opposite because of my cam, compression etc. Keep in mind if you have or want a performance engine a stock chip most likely won't work. Getting rid of all that smog crap and cleaning up the look has been one of the best things I've ever done.

when i pulled my 350 tbi out of my 91 i tried to use the wiring that came out of my 84. it wouldnt work
this is the 84's firewall connection. its a different shape/layout

now that being said i was able to just splice the wires from the 84 into the 91s wiring the colors are generally the same for most years.
the ecm will wire through the passengers side firewall, so you dont have to worry about that in the bulkhead connector

The 87 and 88 should be the same fuse plug, but you will need the wires on the other side of the fuse box to make it work...
