Title: VVS/cruise removal?
Post by: dsgb610 on December 16, 2015, 05:04:03 pm
My truck has an aftermarket engine/trans combo. I have a cable speedometer and I do not want cruise control. I have a non-lockup converter and I have removed all cruise control from under the hood. On the inside of the truck and I would like to remove the Vacuum line that runs along the steering column along with the Vss sensor. I have ordered a a non cruise stalk and I am thinking I may need a non cruise brake switch.

Will it hurt anything to remove the VSS?

I yanked it all out of mine, but I went LS and none of that will work...  http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=12120.msg201240#msg201240 (http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=12120.msg201240#msg201240)

I went ahead and I pulled all mine like above and also disconnected the VSS from back of speedo.. I also just pulled out my tun signal (and cruise wire) and will replace that with a NON cruise stalk.
