Title: Visor Stuck
Post by: RAD77C10 on December 31, 2015, 12:51:55 am
I know there's a simple answer, but my 1977 C10 with 28000 mile has two visors that are stuck! Over the 38 years, the visors haven't been used much! I don't want to break the plastic mount, but it won't move, the visor not the mounting point. I've never taken one apart, I started to take the rod out, but feels like it's glue in. There might be a sleeve in there, I could replace it but it looks brand new. Could someone let me know how it works inside and is there a way to free it up, without breaking the visor?

it's just a metal rod that slides into a metal sleeve attached to a piece of cardboard.  Pretty simple, if it's stuck, try a little WD40 or PB blaster
