I have a SM 465 in my truck. The issue is when the truck has sat overnight, it shifts very well into reverse and thru all the gears while driving. But after a couple hours of running errands, stop here and there, it starts to have a hard time shifting into reverse and into gear while driving. I thought it was my clutch pedal bushing since I had so much side to side play that was causing the shifting problem. After replacing the bushing and test driving today I still have the same shifting problem. What can I check? Mechanical Linkage next? Thanks and Happy New Year

Try changing the oil. I recommend Amsoil, but any good quality oil will work. Maybe the input bearing is worn from the bad pilot bushing?
