Title: New Guy near Tampa, FL
Post by: heavychevy85 on January 22, 2016, 08:59:14 pm
Hello, my name is Shawn, I joined a while ago, but I'm just now finally getting ready to start on my project; which is a 1985 SWB c10 Scottsdale. I've been gathering parts over the last few years and I'm hoping that by being more involved on here that I will stay motivated with the help of other members help as well. My goal is to have the truck done by October and to drive away in it at my wedding. This should be a rather simple build, but here are a few of the modifications planned for it.

Drivetrain:
LS2 based stroker engine
Viper-spec T56 with shifter relocation to clear a modified bench seat
14sf rear axle

Suspension:
5/7 drop
Scott's hot rods bolt in ifs with mustang II spindles and Wilwood brake system
Cal-Trac split mono-leaf rear suspension setup

Appearance:
20" US mag rally wheels
burnt orange paint job with all factory trim
81-82 Front bumper
sport style/K5 rear bumper

Here are a few pictures from when I brought it back down from my father's in 2014; the black 83 body was trashed and I parted it out, but the original plan was to use the 4x4 chassis with my 2wd body, but I came across a 3+3 that I would rather put my CUCV axles under and I had a 2001 WS6 Trans AM donor car so I figured, why not keep this truck 2wd. The picture of it on the small trailer by itself is the most recent picture I have.

Those are not the pictures I was trying to add; I guess I have to figure out the attachments still.
