I did my 4l80e swap some time ago and used the lokar linkage. I noticed going through the gears it doesn't go all the way to 1. Do I need a different column? I had a turbo 400 before.

Does the transmission actually shift into 1st gear when you put the shifter into its lowest setting and it's just not indicating it on the column? If so it is a simple adjustment to the selector detant cable to get the desired indication. Just remove the cover right below the steering column and you will see the clip and cable attached.

It's hard to say. I have the Dakota digital gauges and the Gss 2000. When I went to program it, it wouldn't go down far enough on the column to get another gear. I'll check the suggestion though. Thanks!

Sounds like adjustment in the linkage either at the transmission or lokar needs adjustment.
