Title: 1973 K10 blinker problems
Post by: Chiro22 on March 01, 2016, 01:19:59 am
I have a 1973 Cheyenne K10, and I'm teaching myself to do work on the truck. I recently installed a new steering column. Before the install the blinkers worked, after the install the blinkers turn on, but don't blink.

Has anyone had this happen and what should I check?

Flasher near the fuse panel. There are two. One is hanging the other is plugged to the fuse panel. Do the emergency flashers work? If so swap the flashers and see what happens.

Also if the bulbs are bad they will not flash but the signal light on the instrument cluster will illuminate.
Check all your connections, the flat wide connector on the lower right is for the turn signals.

What year is the replacement column from?
