Title: Fuel tank sending unit confusion

Whats up everyone!
 Had a question about  the fuel sending unit on top of the tank.
Truck :73 k20 (dual tanks )
Only left tank in use...now it has two lines (on top of sending unit )...the 3/8 one goes to fuel pump right?  And the smaller one  (1/4? ) goes to what vent? Or return ?
The smaller one is pretty plugged. ... but if that line IS  a return....well my fuel pump only has two port.s...

Went  to the vapor canister mounted on the drivers side radiator/core support
