Title: Floor Pans

Could anyone please shed some light on the ease...or non-ease of floor pan replacement for my 1976 chevy C10.

I would like to replace both pans due to severe rust (driver side of course worse then the passenger)

Is this a HUGE job?  I do not have the resources myself to do it and must turn to a body shop for help.

Any insight I can get is appreciated.

Its not a huge job, not as big as replaceing the rockers and cab corners with them, but it is still not a small task. The seat, floor mat, door rubbers, etc. all have to come out. Cut out the old floor without damaging the floor suports, inner rocker etc. sand blast all the rust. Replace the pan welding soild around the edge and plug welding to the inner rocker, and the floor suports. Then sand, prime with a self etching rust inhibitive primer, as well as an epoxy primer, and paint the inside. Seal the seam under side, coat with primer, paint, and some type of undercaoat. From start to finish, rough guess on labor, approx. 5.0 to 10.0 hours per side.
