Title: Tailgate not fitting

Just got a tailgate for my 81 chevy scottsdale with a stepside bed. (SWB) Having a problem getting it to line up properly. Right side is straight but the left is maybe 1/8 to 1/4 inch off. Any suggestions?
Also the trunnions have a small groove, where do I line it up with? I didn't see anything on the tailgate so I just put them facing the bottom of the gate.

Got it to fit. Took a mall to the bedside and gave a few love taps. Fits great now.
