I picked a this 88 2wd reg cab looong box last week. its originally a cab and chassis truck with a box and topper stretched to fit the wheel base. I bought it as a roller but it had a 6cyl perkins diesel and a industrial clarke 4 spd in it. the front was lifted to fit the perkins, i bought it for parts but its kind of growing on me

Welcome from central California. That is a cool truck! If it was me, I would get it fixed up and leave it as is. It's a rare, odd ball thing but very cool and unique. I dig it man! Looks good in red too I will say. Any pics of the inside of the bed, interior and engine?

I like it.
How is the quality of the work on the bed?
-
Nice, I like it

I like it, a lot.
If I were you, I would either restore it, or sell it to someone that would.
Personally, I would DD it as I restored it.

Not sure where in Canada you are but there are a few parts on that truck that make it worth a few bucks. If I owned that truck I would be cleaning it up and making a daily out of it.

i can take some more pics of a few things, the bed is currently housing the front clip. it was removed to pull the motor and the plan for right now is to rob the cab off it so the front clip didnt need to go back on. it has power bucket seats in it. no idea if they work or no though the bed work was done fairly well. the filler is starting to pop on the drivers side though. passenger side is still good and feels smooth as you rub your hand down the side. the chances of it ever becoming a daily are slim to none. I have too many trucks. here are some pics of the motor when it was in the truck

I like it too. Very neat to see forsure. I'd keep it and put another diesel in it. A cummins or something totally different.

Kinda hard to tell but are the front wheel openings larger than stock?

the front fenders are factory, its just lifted so that the perkins would clear the crossmember
