A tooth broke off and poked a hole in the dif cover.
Can I still drive it like it is?
Can I replace just the broken gear?

Negative ranger rick, you cant drive it like that. Well you could try, but it's going to make horrible sounds and won't take long before the whole thing is cooked.
-
Replace both spider gears and the two side gears, check the spider gear shaft for straightness by rolling it across a flat surface, replace the spider shaft retainer bolt, check the carrier for cracks, closely inspect the ring and pinion gears for tooth damage and install a new cover. While you're in there check the bearings. And, don't forget to add oil.

DON'T DRIVE IT.
That is darn lucky. You basically won the lottery. You broke a spider gear without running the piece through the ring and pinion or through the spiders. Follow Rich's advise.
Right now you have a chance that you may get away with just replacing the spider gears and the perforated cover.
If you drive it... the broken spider gear, that is likely also cracked and not separated yet, will separate. When it does separate there will be enough pieces that they will get caught in inconvenient places and break lots of parts.

Everything else looks fine in the rear end nothing got hurt. I looked very closely at every tooth in there nothing was damaged.
I have new spider gears on the way. i'm going to clean it out the best I can fill it full of ATF drive it up and down the driveway a few times, Drain it, use break cleaner to clean it out again and put gear oil back in it.

Looks like you replaced the vent tube with some braided tubing? What is on the other end?

I had a small K&N breather from my Harley. So I put that on there.
The truck will go through super deep water holes or anything like that.
The Breather is up under the bed.
