Title: double din install speaker upgrade

hi all
been wanting to put a double din touch screen, with dash cam and reverse cam in my 1985 c10

so after repairing my cracked dash top. and changing the color of my tan interior to sating black. i cut the opening in the front. the hardest part was fitting the cage in the wright position, with the dash in place. but it turned out sweet.

Nicely done.  Different from most installs I've seen, but makes a lot of sense.  I like the aluminum trim strips.  No AC vents?

the AC has been totally deleted (not needed in the uk) the strips i made out of polished stainless steel. you would never know that the interior was TAN. i also deleted the ash tray, need new carpet and black seat cover to finish.

I can tell you did a very methodical job.
Nothing like modern electronics in a not so modern truck.

 just waiting for a 5" tft screen to come. which im going to mount where the rear view mirror is. and i will be using the reverse cam as a rear view mirror. will update when fitted.

the 5" tft monitor came today, fits perfectly where the rear view mirror was. it turns on with the ignition, i put the dash cam just under it, and doesn't look out of place. the screen has brightness/color/contrast av 1&2
the dash cam works on the head unit touch screen etc
