Title: 4" lift, removing quad shocks, what bolts do I need?
Post by: timthescarrd on April 06, 2016, 11:28:52 am
I'm getting ready to install a 4" lift on my 83 K10.  Currently it has the Quad front shocks, I have purchased Bilstien 5100 single front shocks.

I know I will need a shorter bolt for the bottom of the mount, does anyone know what size bolt/nut I need so I can go buy the new ones before I tear the truck apart?

Also, Is does anyone know of a reference for some other bolts I might be replacing (rear shock mounts, leaf spring end bolts, etc.)

This is what I got for the front, I dont remember what is what but you should be able to figure out. This should include spring bolts, hanger bolts and shock bolts for quad shock front with only one shock.

2x 9/16 x 5 UNC GR8
2x 7/16 x 5 UNC GR8
2x ½ x 2.1/2 UNC GR8
2x ½ 3.1/2 UNC GR8

For rear springs I used M14 x 120mm, shackle end might be the same or not, I think it depends on the year.
