Title: Bearing clearances

Hey guys, just wondering, what should my clearances be on my rod and main bearings when tq'd? Motor is a 350. I looked through the service manual, but im kinda confused by it. I have some green plastigauge, just wonderibg what exactly they should be.

generally speaking .001"-.003"

Thats what i was thinking when i was going through the manual, it was just a little all over the place i guess is how you would say it. Or at least it was to me... is that for the main bearings and the rod bearings?

Yes and generally speaking if you are on the loose side you want to run a high volume oil pump. If it's tight, run a standard volume.
