Can somebody tell me what bushings I need for the rear of my front leaf springs on my 1980 K10?
The originals that came out were a full rubber bushing with a steel sleeve all the way through and used what looks like a 3/8 mounting bolt for the rear (I haven't measured yet).
What was recommended when I ordered online were harris bushings that insert into left/right side of spring about 1" and have no metal sleeve at all, and also require a 3/4" bolt.
These are the harris bushings: http://www.sdtrucksprings.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=8968
The type 1 bushings in this link look more like what came out of my originals: http://www.sdtrucksprings.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=8826

Well to get it done I cut the end of the old spring off so I had the big rubber bushing with the steel sleeve in my hand. Stuck it in a fire and burned the bushing off the sleeve. The sleeve then fit nicely into the harris bushings I had purchased with the springs. I trimmed the bushings with a knife (width) so they would fit in between the trucks mounting brackets, and was able to use the same bolt that came out of it, which looked like new anyhow.
