Title: Transmission and transfer case bolte
Post by: Sprinkler-Man on June 01, 2016, 11:26:11 pm
Anyone know what kind of bolts the adapter takes to mount a 700R4 to an NP241C transfer case?
Just had these rebuilt and they were missing them. Can I use the bolts from my TH350 to mount the 700R4 to the block?

Yes on the bell housing to engine block bolts, make sure to torque to spec. As for t-case to transmission, I have no idea sorry.

The bellhousing bolts are threaded into the block.  Use the same ones.

From the 85-91 parts books.  Download your own copy from my signature...
#2 Adapter to transmission;
#4 Adapter to transfer case;
GM called out 10.9 Property class bolts.  I would NOT recommend using lighter class 8.8 bolts.

There's a torque brace (#14) in the parts blowup that you don't want to leave out.
You'll need the transmission to adapter seal #5 and the transfer case to adapter gasket #1 if you don't want leaks.  MD8 is the RPO for the TH70R4/4L60.
