Title: Hood release- cable broke

How can I open the hood without the cable release?  Mine broke, and I can't get a hold of any part of the cable.

You can go up from the bottom behind the bumper and trip the latch but its a pain in the back side. You will need a long paeice of something. I have used a peice of brake line slid down inside another bigger peice for stiffness. I put an offset in the end of it and held the offset towards the latch and just kept fishing till I poped it.

Thanks for the reply-  ended up prying the hood up enough to get at the bolts for the latch.  Didn't seem to hurt the hood any.
