Post by: Jim_Hensley on June 25, 2016, 05:21:32 pm: Well i took the carb off and pulled it apart and come to find out the idiot, didn't pay attention to the Primary metering rod hanger and screwed the top down on to of the metering rods out of the bores and ruined the primary rod piston, Luckily I had a spare Qjet to rob parts from , but I got it all back together and it runs so much better but I think I fouled a plug running with the carb before, good news is I thought the trans was bad cause it wouldnt shift into 3rd at all before, but I couldn't hardly drive the truck , but the other day I took and jacked up the rear and ran it up and I guess the trash finally cleared out of the valve body and it started working , now the more I drive it the better it works. I was so relieved.

Post by: Jim_Hensley on June 30, 2016, 05:40:39 pm: This was just Mothers carnauba cleaner wax . Might try the buffer and see how that turns out, I need some gas tanks though. pickup stops up. While Im waiting for those I swapped out the rims and tires over to my Latest van and installed some 275's in place of the rotten ass 255/70's the guy had on the front. So the Van is rocken the rallyes and its got 255/60's up front and 275/60's in the rear .

and I stuck the ARE rims from the van on the truck and I think they look pretty good, Might keep em on there and add some 255/70's in place of the rotten Goodyear 235/75 on it now.
