Title: Seat Foam
Post by: Tazman on June 07, 2016, 10:20:32 pm
My trucks seat was redone right before I bought it 11 years and 150k miles since. It is driven daily and over that time the foam has given up and I am thinking of replacing it. My question is where can I buy a stiffer foam and is it a tough job to do?

Thanks,

unless you have the tools to reupholster your seat, i would get someone else to do like a upholstery shop. they would know whats the best foam to use also

I've looked at getting my seat re upholstered and I've looked at getting a kit and doing it myself, I would much rather have a pro do it. It would bug the living heck out of my if my job didn't look great.

A while back, the new Trucks TV (or whatever it's called now) they did a segment on refurbishing a square Chevy seat. It was on "Project Nighttrain" Anyway, they bought cushions and covers from a supplier like   or somewhere, then showed you how to do all the stretching and use the hog rings to clip it all back to the frame. Looked easy enough. I'll likely try when I start redoing one of my trucks.
