Title: shaving drip rails

i want to shave my drip rails but i was wondering if it would leak around the door. or if theirs anything i can do to keep it from leaking after their shaved. if it will cause a problem, ima just leave it alone. thanks

If you ditch the drip rails, water will run off the roof and get you a little wet when you open the door.  If you have patience, just wait a couple seconds then exit the vehicle...proble solved.  Personally, if it is a driver, and you don't plan to customize it much...keep 'em on.  If you plan to customize your truck and won't be driving it all over the planet...get rid of 'em.

it really isn't noticeable with them gone, i got just as wet getting out of my dads truck with drip rails as i do with my truck without...it's only a few drops of water

or you could paint them to make them blend in better.
