Title: Chrome trim
Post by: 2tone4by on June 08, 2016, 08:11:18 pm
Hello all, got a 1978 2 tone that has the original chrome. I removed it all and have tried to replace and the little plastic things with the tape will not stick or hold it on. Any one have any ideas how to get this chrome to stay in place. I purchased a bunch of the new clips, but they just won't hold. Any thoughts appreciated

Plastic molding tabs held on by tape?
Never heard of that one before.
Only plastic tabs that hold moldings on should be held in place by rivits that are specific hieght set so the clips can be removed, and or installed.

are you talking about the strips of tim along the belt line?

If so, if they aren't sticking the paint wasnt cleaned properly to let the double sided tape stick
