so i purchased a set of upper control arms from moog the heavy duty ones complete with new pivot shaft and problem solver ball joint - they have been awesome - but the other day i was looking under the hood and noticed the threads on the passenger side showing , a closer look proved that the end nut that screws into the end of the control arm was unscrewed a good 1/2 inch or so - anyone ever have these things loosen off by themselves ? 1977 c20 these are the shafts without the rubber bushings

sounds like the nuts weren't properly secured after the alignment.

i think your referring to the nuts that hold the control arm and shims to the frame - i'm talking about the large 1 3/8 " nut that screws onto the end of the pivot shaft right up to the large holes in the arm - theyve been in there for a year and then suddenly the front passenger one was near fully unscrewed
