I just picked up a quadrajet that I intend to rebuild and swap onto my truck. I was told it was off a truck, but they didn't know what year. It's non electric, but does have an electric choke. I've read on a few websites that it should have a casting number above the secondarys on the drivers side, but it does not. It does have GM stamped on it in a few places and has some sort of alpha numeric grid on the back. Any way to figure this out so I know what kit to buy, or is there a kit that covers a wide range of years?
Thanks

I don't think quadrajets really had casting numbers on them but it should have a number stamped on it that will help you decode what year make and engine it was originally on.

Mine is totally blank in that area. Looks like it was cast that way.

Do you have a circular stamp somewhere near the accelerator pump?

Numbers are probably just coated with dirt and grease. Clean it up and look again

Nos float bowls that were never set up on specific vehicle will not have those application numbers.
Could have been bought and installed later by an individual.
The part number will be the circular number cast into the housing, but that won't tell you how it is set up.
