I splurged on a new car trailer after being without for many years. I special ordered this with dual 5200 lb axles, steel floor, winch plate, tool box,in floor lighting and matching spare. I've been looking for about 5 months and this was the best bang for the buck.

Nice, what did it cost you?

$3905 tax not included

Heartland trailer out of Sikeston MO, this is a 10,400 GCVW so I shouldn't have any bent axles hauling the one tons

Supeeeeeer jealooouussss. I have to borrow the shops and well, it's been rode hard and parked wet a few times, it's well worn but solid.

Now just get a winch on the front ....

the 7 ton trailer i use is just wide enough for the srw dana 60s to clear. the trailer me and my buddy built was made so the truck would ride on top of the trailer tires as they only stuck up about 3". we had fenders that were nothing but sheet metal as a cover to stop rocks from flying, you would remove them of course before you would load or unload the trailer

Got one, a nice one about 5 years ago for my other car trailer which I sold. I just need to figure out a hinged cover to keep the weather off of it when not being used. I plan to post pictures of the install.

I use the Super Winch cradle mount. With nice winches costing about $1,000 its nice to be able to remove it for safe keeping.

I believe mine is a Super Winch but honestly don't remember. It was a $300 or so. My trailer came with a plate welded that I will need to drill into to mount. A removable plate would be better, I'll look into it. Sounds easier as well since the trailer has a lockable tool box... Thanks

The cradle mount is the one a lot of off road guys use so they can move it from the front/back of the truck. It comes with a piece of square stock that slides into a receiver hitch.
I had the square stock welded to the trailer tounge ( I had a buddy weld it, my welds are patch panel quality at best).
Its a great set up.

get something like this and mount it upside down to my trailer plate

and get something like this for the winch, then I can use it with any receiver... Cool

Here is my trailer side set up.
When LTZC20 mentioned a trailer being rode hard and put away wet, my trailer cones to mind.
A few years ago when scrap was $245 a ton my goal was to jun 10 cars a week with this set up.
The winch cradle pin goes in the hole I put the white pen.
Also notice the plastic 7 pole junction box on the tounge. I gat that idea from Blazin. Your trailer is new but once they get old this makes it easy to track down & fix electrical problems.

This is the winch & battery set up I use.
I power the winch with a deep cycle marine battery instead of wiring it up the the truck. For me it makes it easier to uses different tow vehicles. I carry a spare battery just to be safe, but you get allot of pulls before you have to recharge. If the vehicles roll easy, I can pull at least 10 onto the trailer before I charge the battery.
That big Die Hard has 1150 CCA. This set up will pull a square body up a ramp in park with 4 flat tires.

Fitz,,what in the blazes are you doing with a MA state dcr vehicle??!!!
I used to work for dcr.

Got it at an auction. Bought the blazer and an M1028 the same day.
