Title: Jc Whitney front hood repair panels 73-80 models

Hi all,
has anyone used 1 of these repair panels from jc whitney?I called at the right time cause they got 18 comming in and then there will be another backorder for quite some time,so i placed my order for 1 and will be getting it next month.My 80 hood is in good shape except the dreaded front part.I am in need of opinons if anyone has tried the repair before and hows the quality of them?I did but some repair panels from them and they were pretty good ...

Only problem with welding a hood is they are easy to warp. I have made patches for this area but neverused a pre fab one.

I patched the hood 2 times and both times there comming back. I know if i took my time and had a damp rag to cool the metal every time i tacked it stop the warping some.I am just curious if these are any good cause buying a new hood is what i am tring to not buy and put the money in the bed area where it needs it the most.
