hello i have an 85 camper special with pin type caliper spindles. bought the truck with no front brakes and bought new brake rotors/ pads/ bearings/ calipers. calipers fit without the pads but when trying to install pads it seems as if the pads or rotor are too thick. even tried the 3/4 ton truck pads still not fitting. can post pic if needed. thanks!!

are the pistons in the calipers compressed? if they are extended they can cause what you seem to be describing
-
yes they are brand new calipers with the pistons fully compressed.
-
They apparently make 2 different sets of calipers/rotor sets for the dually, so the parts guy probably screwed up and gave you the thicker rotors, but the calipers for the thinner rotors. Is your rotor about an inch and a half wide?

Yes rotor is exactly 1.5. And truck has the pin type caliper mounting. Had slide spindle on one side when i bouthg it. But i found another pin type spindle and installed

I realize I wrote dually, I meant 1 ton, but my brothers 86 was the same way, I'll try to find the part numbers for the rotor changes and caliper changes
