I have a 1978 Chevy 4x4 that I have replaced the bed with a 1986 model. Problem is, after it is bolted down it sits about half inch off center. Looking at the back you can see it sets to the right of cab. If I line it up where it sits as it should the bolts won't line up with the holes in the front 4 bolts. Any suggestions on how to fix this much appreciated

I'd egg out the holes to make it look right
Either in the frame or in the bed
Or a little of both
I'd use stainless bolts so they won't rust

Agreed, egg out the holes in the frame to give you more adjustment. If it's still off, loosen the cab mounts and shift the cab too.

I'd take measurements first, if one side of the bed has been replaced with aftermarket, it could create an optical illusion, same if it was the bed floor, and by verifying the cab is one straight as well, you get rid of a lot of variables that could make you do more work then needed(like egging some holes). and make sure the frame is straight.
