Is it possible to remove the inner fenders from my 85 k10 without removing the fenders? It looks like you could do it but might be tricky. And does anyone have a pic of the inner fender where it meets the firewall, both of mine have large rust holes in this area, but it looks like there was something there like maybe a vent or something?

no pictures but yes you can remove them without taking the fender off

Thanks Guys. Still trying to figure out what was where the rust hole is.

Probably where the large 9/16 head bolt with large washeris that mounts to the extension on the firewall. The hole is large to allow adjustment for the inner fender
The inner fender has a reinforcement plate there that gets water/crud etc between it and the inner and rusts there.

Thanks for the info Blazer, After you mentioned this, I can see there is a mount on the firewall but no mounting bolt.

Very common rot area

Does anyone make a patch panel for this area? I can't say I've ever seen one advertised.

Better to get another inner fender. Check the store on this site. They have them.
