Nice truck.
Is it still in service?
Even here is Mass where rust is a big problem there are still allot of square body trucks used by the fire departments.

Fire Dept. rigs aren't used on the salty roads as a daily driver.
I've seen a 1957 GMC truck used in Vt. for pump truck service along with some 1960's Four Wheel Drive Auto Company trucks... No rust at all.

Yup, My truck was in service to the Fire dept of the City of Cottage Grove Minnesota until 06 or 07 and it's never seen salt, although it was a brush truck

I've owned a few fire department trucks myself.
These 2 CUCV's went from the Military to a fire department to me.
