So... am ditching the 16.5" wheels and a friend has offered me a killer price on a set of factory 2014 Sierra Rims with Tires.
Will the LT265/70R17 fit or should I stick to trying to find a set of 16" rims?
Anyone know what's the largest tires I can run on this puppy without a lift kit? Want some AT and ground clearance.
Cheers,
Scott

Those will fit fine. I'm not sure but I think someone found that you can fit a 31 or 33 with no modifications.

Which wheels did you get, could you post a picture? I have a set of 08 8 lug aluminum wheels on my 73 2500.

In 2011 the 8 lug bolt pattern changed so you will have to run adaptors

I forgot about this, Zieg is right.

Thanks for the replies and info.
Went to view them this morning, and he had sold them to his brother. Oh well.
Looking at a set of 16" rims on Saturday morning.

LT265/70R17 is 31.61"
I run LT265/80R16 32.69" on my 1976 K20 & my 2000 C2500 GMC T400 chassis. They don't rub.

Grabbed a set of old Nascar style slots. 16"
They came with a worn set of 285/75-16 tires, so am going to do a test fit and see how they clear for steering and such on the front end. Need to get said new rims sandblasted and repainted as they are black over the factory white and look like heck, but the actual rims themselves are in good shape and got them a song. Just need to find some cool centre caps for them.
Sincerely appreciate the feedback and help.

I'd do anything to get rid of my 16inch rims. I'd like to go with a 18inch rim

I'm having a terrible time finding 16 inch rims for my 87 k10

That's because they are trying to cram 18" and larger wheels down everyone's throat. 16" wheels are still plentiful though.
