I bought this front sway bar for my 73 1/2 ton. It didn't have one on it when I bought it. This one came off an 87 ton dually. Will it work on my 1/2 ton or would it be too much?

As long as you have the holes in your lower control arms I believe it should fit. Depending on how worn it is and how worn or sagging your current suspension is, you may gain a little bit of lift if the sway bar hasn't been stressed in its previous life.

Did you get the brackets that are riveted to the frame?

I do have the mounting holes in the lower control arms. I didn't get those brackets. One was broke and the other was still riveted. The guy didn't want to take time to take the good one off. Will I need them for a 73?

yes you will need them. I use an air chisel to remove and bolt them back on with grade 8 bolts

I'll have to buy a set then.

Wrecking yard, should be able to find more than just 2.

I just took a set off my 85. If they'll fit you can have them. Text me 216-816-5805 Ben
