Title: Sliding Rear Window
Post by: bcstingray on July 23, 2016, 02:11:34 pm
I bought this sliding rear window for my 73. I've never seen one with the locking tabs on the sides of the sliding part. Does anyone else have one like this?

I've seen those before. I had an extra slider rear window just like that. I think I sold it, don't remember.

Have you ever used one? do the rattle like the regular ones? i have a sliding window with the latch in the center and it rattles like crazy i either have to leave it open or in the winter i jam a black ice air freshener in the track.

No, I never used it, it was just another extra part I had. My buddy has a slider in his truck with the center latch and I've never heard it make a single sound.

Only ones that I have heard rattle are missing pieces.
Most of mineI use a dowel in the track to lock them as the lock tab is usually busted off.
