Title: Probably very simple throttle bracket/cable problem......
Post by: Stewart G Griffin on July 28, 2016, 07:27:01 am
So i got the throttle cable bracket reinstalled------And i'm 99.9% sure it's in right because there's really only one way it will go back on.  And i haven't touched the throttle cable itself.

But after i got it all back together, it won't work well----i'm not getting anything close to full throttle.  The secondaries don't even open.

Any suggestions?   It has to be something simple..........

How stupid:

i think the bracket goes completely underneath the nut and stud, NOT resting on top of it.  The nut on top is apparently for something else.  i had it resting on top of that bottom nut and it caused the bracket to tilt downward, thus  shortening the distance between the cable and carb throttle arm.

Does this sound right to you?

Ok, false alarm---this crisis has been taken care of.
