Title: Code 33
Post by: Tazman on July 28, 2016, 09:14:28 pm
Last week when coming from work the engine light came on. So I checked it and it was a code 33,so knowing my map sensor was under complete warranty I changed it hoping that would fix it. It did, for a couple days or so. Any way it is back so I will do a better check of things. I am wondering as I read my 87 service manual. What do they mean when stating "scan"?

Thanks

Do you have access to a scan tool of any type.

All I have is the OBD1 I have had for years. It gives me the codes but that is all.

Make sure there is unrestricted manifold vacuum reaching the MAP sensor and that there are no vacuum leaks.
