Title: Help me with my 1976 C-10 Air Conditioning!
Post by: truxson on July 29, 2016, 07:39:14 pm
Hi:
I'm a 'newbie' to this site, so I hope I'm following procedure here....if not, please let me know!

OK...we have a 1976 Chev. Shop truck that has 520,000 + miles on it.  Just getting comfortable...But the A/C hasn't worked in a long time.  Well...we got it going, but I don't remember how to hook up the vacuum lines from the vacuum reservoir on the firewall.  They haven't been hooked up in a long time, and I can't find what to do with them.  I have a shop manual and the 'part number' side of a parts manual, but haven't been able to find the hookups.

Also, the 'flapper' door inside the heater/A-C box under the dash has that troublesome plastic part....Does anybody know of a replacement as this one is toast....

Hope You Can help me!

Regards, David (Truxson)
